  • Cab view on JR Ome Line, 10km from Mitake Station to Okutama Station.
Ome Line cab view, Ome Station → Mitake Station
    • 青梅線前面展望 青梅→御嶽 <cabview...
It is a sequel. The profile of the Ome Line is shown in the video from Ome Station to Mitake Station.
In this video, you can see the mountain slope on the right and the Tama River valley on the left in the direction of train travel. The four-car train runs slowly along the mountain road, arriving at its final stop, Okutama Station. Okutama Station is the starting point for sightseeing, and many hiking trails extend from this station. The station building is designed like a mountain hut.

This very interesting video "closes the circle for me": I have looked at all your previous posts - all the older ones and also the newer ones after this post!
In my opinion it was absolutely worth it, and it doesn't matter at all that you are a late starter when it comes to railway videos: you have presented me and many other interested people with the diversity of the Japanese railway system with wonderful images, and the videos also give a very good impression of the city landscapes and the unique nature.
Your creative options are limited on the Cab View rides, but especially your very first videos show me that you have a very good eye for photo subjects and that you sometimes create a varied picture show with music 👍
I will probably hardly find another RUclipsr who makes the effort to answer EVERY comment: I was able to learn a lot about Japan and its railways this way - thank you very much for that, dear Ikesan 🙏🙏🙏
I'm sorry if I sometimes bombarded you with internet links to other RUclips sites without asking: it's simply because I need to communicate - when I see something that inspires me, I want to share it with other people... ☺️
And you're right: sometimes our comments really are something like a chat, most users don't write nearly as many words in the comments as we do...
I hope you continue to enjoy this beautiful hobby, you capture the current moment that may one day remind you of long past railway times
🖖 Live long and prosper 😊

Thank you very much for your praise. What I like, not just in railway videos, is to "share knowledge" with others. Cab view is one methodology, and I must explore other ways of expression. I don't know how much I can achieve in the time I have left, but I'm happy about it. I place importance on the documentary nature of each video. It's a shame that I won't be able to know what kind of evaluation I will receive after I die (^o^).
If you have any thoughts about the future, please write them. It's fun to advance.

Your links are a pleasure for me. I haven't been to Germany in years. I don't drink beer, so that's OK, but I've missed fragrant bread and curry bristles for a long time.

It is often said that Japanese people work too much.
However, recently this style has become weaker.
That's a blessing to me as well.

Hey! I love this line! Mountain railroading at it's best. Pop into a tunnel, pop out! Buzz across a bridge and into another tunnel. Pop out, and immediately into another. Mountain scenery and lineside communities. And the engineering that went into building this line. On the whole, an impressive video! ❤😂

I enjoyed the train ride through the country side. The surrounding tall trees on either side of the tracks made me feel I am cutting through a dense forest where in some places even the sun does not penetrate to the floor of the forest.
I also observed that the ridership on this train is very low. There were a few passenger boarding the train. Does the train company make enough money to sustain operations from such low ridership? With such low ridership, I don't think the trains runs every few minutes either. I like to hear your comments on ridership. THANK you.

    • @14ikesan12
      @14ikesan12  5 месяцев назад +2

Thank you for your comment. It is true that there are few passengers on this route. On the way, from Ome Station onward, the train becomes a 4-car train (10 cars from Tokyo to Ome Station), and even in that 4-car train, there are only a few people riding in each car.
This line attracts many tourists on weekends, and 10-car trains run directly from Tokyo Station.
However, the number of customers has decreased. This is probably due to Japan's long recession. A small soba restaurant in front of Okutama Station was closed on the weekday I went. It used to be open even on weekdays.
      This is sad.
